To achieve optimal results with the New Fit PUFFIN, use relaxed and fluid cutting motions to fully utilise the blade’s smooth cutting performance and balance. The stable blade design performs exceptionally well for blunt lines, base cutting, and strong shape work, while still allowing soft slide cutting and natural texture creation.

The refined tip control provides precision for fringe work, face framing, and detailed internal shaping, making the PUFFIN ideal for stylists who transition between precision and softer creative techniques throughout the day.

For best comfort and control, maintain a natural hand position and light thumb movement. The redesigned ergonomic handle reduces tension through the wrist and hand, allowing smoother opening and closing action during extended salon use.

• Material: EXTRAMARISE® is a proprietary heat treatment ideally suited for haircutting scissors that was developed by MIZUTANI based on long years of accumulated data and experience. The same steel material can have totally different performance depending on the heat treatment used. Therefore, to maximize the special qualities of the rare metals (cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium, etc.) we’ve added to our products to the greatest extent possible, and achieve the ideal metal for scissors, (*hardening, tempering, sub-zero processing) and other complete temperature management procedures are essential. To bring out the distinct characteristics of materials, and manufacture a blade with the ultimate strength required for haircutting scissors, we at MIZUTANI have implemented our own proprietary heat treatment using the ideal temperature for scissors: EXTRAMARISE® processing.
