The Mizutani SWORD range has been ergonomically designed to prevent wrist/carpal tunnel issues. Designed to support the hand which gets tired from cutting, the SWORD DB-20 is made from the strongest material Nano Powder Metal proven to reduce split ends when cutting the hair. The development of these scissors was assisted by the staff SCHOREM BARBERSHOP in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The DB-20 is completed with our famous wrist/carpal tunnel issues prevention handle as well as a robust blade that can easily handle scissors over comb thanks to the effects of the Nano Powder Metal, ensuring support for hair dressers whose hands get tired from cutting the hair of many male customers. The DB-20 receives great praise from the staff of Barber “SCHOREM”, who cooperated in its development. Users may become addicted to the brisk “chop chop” feel.

: Nano Powder Metal
Our Nano Powder Metal®, made with the new HIP manufacturing method (Hot Isostatic Pressing), is steel fabricated from a fine powder at the nano level. The uniform-grained powder is hardened with high temperature and pressure tempering, essentially eliminating all filler and impurities, and this method is used in precision manufacturing items like Blu-ray disc molds, where high levels of purity are required. At MIZUTANI, in order to create the ideal hair-cutting scissors, we have conducted our own proprietary research with this material, and created scissors with blades that combine strength with a long cutting life and the ultimate sharpness.

: THRUST BALL BEARING
These are small, precision metal ball bearings with excellent axial load-bearing ability. Due to their design, which enables radial load-bearing as well, scissors open and close smoothly, which both lessens burden on the hands and contributes to a long cutting life. With anti-rust properties and durability as a matter of course, these bearings are a Japanese-made product.

: ORGANIC DESIGN
The handles are so designed that they look nonmetallic, alive and organic. You may feel some warmth from the three-dimensional, twisted handles, and once touched, you would not like to part them from your hand.

: DISK DRIVER
Compact and easy to turn, this is a flat type driver for UFO screws. This screwdriver is included with all scissors with the mark shown.

I’m relatively new to barbering and purchased these scissors. It’s the best scissors I’ve ever used. I got the 6.7 inch and I can easily use it for clipper over comb, the top and longer scissors only cuts. I found that they helped me cut better. Highly recommend these.

Perfection (Sharp, Accurate, Not too heavy, Nimble)

I been through a lot of scissors and this is by far the best I used. Perfect for blunt cutting, point cutting, scissor over comb, ploughs through thick dense hair all while not being heavy in the hand. I picked up a 5.7" and I might pick up an additional 6.7" in the future. Highly recommend to anyone. It cuts just as powerful as the Acro z2.

All-arounder that is second to none

Nano-powder steel elevates cutting experience to the next level(comparison my experience with material Extramarise I Cobalt Alloy, which is in Black-smith Fit, also excellent to use). The first time I used it, I was stunning by its power, sharpness and the ability to grab hair rather than push it. Ergonomically very comfortable. HIghly recommend!
