MIZUTANI FIT PUFFIN THINNING 17 REVERSE (RIGHT HAND)

The Mizutani FIT PUFFIN THINNING 17 is a 17-tooth professional texturising scissor designed for controlled weight removal, separation and texture. With a 20–30% cut ratio and reverse blade design, it is particularly suited to scissor-over-comb, short hair and barbering techniques.

For optimal results, use the PUFFIN THINNING 17 when you want to remove weight while creating visible texture and separation. The widely spaced 17-tooth design is ideal for working through dense areas, adding movement and breaking up solid shapes.
Particularly effective for scissor-over-comb and shorter styles, the reverse blade configuration allows controlled texturising close to the head. For a softer, more seamless blending result, choose a higher-tooth-count Mizutani thinning scissor.

• Material: EXTRAMARISE® is a proprietary heat treatment ideally suited for haircutting scissors that was developed by MIZUTANI based on long years of accumulated data and experience. The same steel material can have totally different performance depending on the heat treatment used. Therefore, to maximize the special qualities of the rare metals (cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium, etc.) we’ve added to our products to the greatest extent possible, and achieve the ideal metal for scissors, (*hardening, tempering, sub-zero processing) and other complete temperature management procedures are essential. To bring out the distinct characteristics of materials, and manufacture a blade with the ultimate strength required for haircutting scissors, we at MIZUTANI have implemented our own proprietary heat treatment using the ideal temperature for scissors: EXTRAMARISE® processing.
• Handle Design: OFFSET HANDLES for the Natural Hand Position. The offset handle is a new design that was made with ergonomics considered. The result of this design allows your hand to sit in a more natural grip around the handles. with your thumb in a relaxed position.
• Tension Adjustment: This model includes a Disk Driver, a compact flat-type screwdriver for UFO screws, which enables easy and precise tension adjustments.
